So yeah excel which in the simple terms can be called as a data analytics , interpretation software which always helps in quick data analysis and makes the calculation easier, in a laymans point of view it can be called as a huge calculator .

During school , college, offices, also in life the activities which we perform in the excel helps in not only in these activities such as

1. keeeping records

2. maintainence of the attendances, registers, 

3. book keeping , invoices, transaction records, business , trade records in terms of accouunting firms

4. Helps in visualise the tabular data in an easy gtaphical manner to interpret the data with respect to daily scenarios

5. Also helps in the automation of the repeated tasks and also the difficult tasks such as the engineering formulas 

6. With the hep of the excel one can also simulate cum also predict the future datas as a forecast to meet that future demands

7. For self investing, also in analysing the stocks, profits, loss  

8. Also using the macros function, vba programming one can add more and more widgets or the tools for making many diffficult tasks to be done easily also in a time saving manner.

Some Disadvantages :

1. Large data handling cannot be done as it may lead to the hanging of the software

2. Many parts, tools of the excel one cannot learn fully as its like a ocean like a software

3. data sorting sometimes becomes a tedious process when lots of formula are involved 

4. complex functions such a trignometric functions, calculas, needs a deep or indepth conceptual understanding to interpret the data and get its results

In short excel gives us the way to understand , analyse, interpret, also helps us in taking the decisions accordingly, apart from these disadvantages.

Because of the invention of the excel we are able to maintain and record also able to share the records in a fast and feasible manner digitally.
